Primate of the UOC MP consecrates the bishop for Diocese of Cherkasy

This is reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC-MP.

During the service, Archimandrite Anthony (Pukhkan) was consecrated as Bishop of Korsun-Shevchenko, Vicar of the Diocese of Cherkasy. The new bishop was elected by the Holy Synod of the UOC-MP at the last meeting on May 12, 2021.

Before the beginning of the Divine Liturgy, the candidate for the episcopal rank pronounces the Creed and vowed to preserve the traditions of the Church. Then the deacon pronounced many years to the Primate, bishops, church people and the nominee.
