Рatriarch of Alexandria: Moscow’s reaction to the Ukrainian issue is not correct
According to the page aviketos.com, the Head of the Alexandrian Church had a meeting yesterday with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades and then responding to statements by journalists about the cessation of remembrance during the Divine Liturgy from the Patriarchate of Moscow to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Patriarch Theodore replied that this reaction is certainly not correct.
It should not be forgotten that the Ecumenical Patriarchate granted with the autocephalous status the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, as well as the Church of Greece and the Patriarchate of Alexandria, and for that the Ecumenical Patriarchate should be recognized. He even reminded that since last November he has been mentioning during the Divine Liturgy the Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine.
“I believe that as time passes, then we will see more and more clearly the issues and in the end all the Churches will come together to see that what prevails above all is the unity between us and the ministry of the peoples of the earth.”, concluded the Patriarch of Alexandria.
