ROC strives to revive the USSR, being its 'staple', - Metropolitan Symeon

The Metropolitan of the PCU said this in an interview with DetectorUA, according to "Spiritual Front of Ukraine".

"What is happening today in the church environment is also a kind of hybrid war, because at this time someone wants to revive the Soviet Union. It has already collapsed as a whole. But considering the church environment, it turns out that the ROC, which still operates in all former republics, is its staple. Therefore there is a great spiritual influence of the aggressor country, which is Russia today," said the Metropolitan of the OCU.

He noted that Russia is waging hybrid war in Ukraine.

"So why the Moscow Church in Ukraine or the UOC-MP does not accept the OCU? Just because some people really believe what they are told, while others just do their job, unfortunately. And we see this because that hybrid war continues on the spiritual front," said Metropolitan Symeon.
