Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine has published statistics on new vocations in 2021
According to new statistics, in 2021, the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine was enriched with 22 vocations, which is 11 less than last year.
There are three diocesan seminaries in Ukraine: in Horodok (Diocese of Kamianets-Podilsky), in Vorzel (Diocese of Kyiv-Zhytomyr), and in Bryukhovichi (Lviv Archdiocese). As well as three seminaries Redemptoris Mater, which are located in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Uzhgorod.
Information was collected from all dioceses of the RCC in Ukraine, from 21 men's and 58 women's congregations. 14 children entered the diocesan seminaries: 5 of them from the Kamianets-Podilsky diocese, 2 from the Diocese of Kharkiv-Zaporizhia, 2 from the Archdiocese of Lviv, and 4 from the Diocese of Kyiv-Zhytomyr. 1 young man entered the Redemptoris Mater Seminary.
"We will continue to unite together in prayer for new, holy and zealous vocations to the priesthood and God-consecrated life so that there will be no shortage of those who will bring the word of God to the modern world," the commission for the pastoral care of young people of the Roman Catholic Church urged the faithful.
