In his commentary to media he said that he came to express sympathy and prayerful closeness to the families of the victims.

“There is no strangers’ grief, he said, every grief, wherever it happens, is a common grief for all of us. This leads us to solidarity and prayer for those suffering”.

However, the crime, according to the Secretary of the UGCC Synod of Bishops, once again shows that aggression against Ukraine represents immediate threat not only to Ukrainian statehood and Ukrainian people, it threatens peace and security in the world.

The commentary to a TV-channel from the Netherlands, Bishop Bohdan suggested that if there had been no escalation of aggression against Ukraine in the eastern regions, it probably would not come down to this horrible crime the terrorists had committed against innocent people of different nationalities a day before.

So the bishop urged again the international community to do their best to restore peace as soon as possible in Ukraine, because “every day military aggression brings new innocent victims”, reports the Information Department of the UGCC.
