UOC-MP refuses to provide evidence of being not connected with Moscow, - religious expert

This was reported by a member of the expert group on the study of the Statute of the UOC-MP, scholar Yuriy Chornomorets. He is one of those Ukrainian religious scholars whose participation in the Commission the UOC-MP opposes to.

He published a list of questions that he asked the representative of the UOC-MP to find out whether they are a separate church from the Russian Orthodox Church.

Chornomorets, in particular, asked whether the UOC-MP has the Tomos of autocephaly, which local churches recognize the UOC-MP as a Church that is different from the Russian Orthodox Church, which of the Primates of the local Orthodox Churches commemorates Metropolitan Onufriy in his diptych and others.

"Of course, it would be interesting to hear the UOC answer these questions today or tomorrow, but I think they have nothing to answer. But the very recusal of 4 expert group members on the grounds that they criticize the UOC can be considered a recusal of our entire state, starting with the President, because he said the same thing and in a very rude manner that we should listen to them. Still, they do not - this is also a challenge because, in the 21st century, we do not know why we should tolerate such rudeness from the UOC. Bakhov is an even better representative. He is not even close to 'Pasha Mercedes'. But the fact that the barbaric rudeness of Russian Orthodoxy has become their essence is my subjective impression.
