Recently, 133 trucks filled with humanitarian aid departed from St. Sophia Cathedral in Rome and made their way to Ukraine, where the supplies were delivered to Kharkiv. The Dicastery of the Roman Curia, which is responsible for charitable matters on behalf of the Holy Father, assisted with the loading of the cargo.

This was reported by Vatican News.

"Elemosineria Apostolica continues its mission to spread the Pope's merciful love where it is needed," stated Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, Apostolic Almoner, in light of the recent arrival of a truck carrying humanitarian aid to Kharkiv, a city severely impacted by numerous Russian bombings in recent weeks.

“Mercy never stops,” he emphasized. The Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development shared a photo with Vatican Radio showing the truck's arrival at the Greek Catholic Cathedral of St. Nicholas. He referred to “martyred Ukraine,” following the example of Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIII, and expressed that the country is always in the hearts of the Roman bishops.

The shipment contained tables, chairs, mattresses, food, and various items for children. “They need everything,” the Apostolic Almoner stressed, “especially now.”
