Granting Tomos on autocephaly to the OCU is supported by 45% of Ukrainians
This is evidenced by survey results conducted by the Rating sociological group, Ukrinform reports.
"45% of respondents support granting the Tomos of autocephaly to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, 19% do not support it, and 31% do not care,” the study says.
It is noted that the greatest support for the provision of Tomos is among residents of the West and the Center, older people, as well as those who consider themselves Greek Catholics and the OCU. According to the study, voters of the opposition platform, Muraev and Sharia parties have a negative attitude to the provision of Tomos.
The survey was conducted by the Rating sociological group on July 23-25, 2021.
Audience: population of Ukraine aged 18 and over in all regions except the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The sample is representative by age, gender, and type of settlement. Survey method: CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews). Based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers. The sample population is 2,500 respondents. The error of representativeness of the study with a confidence probability of 0.95: no more than 2.0%.
