Mufti of Poland comes to annexed the Crimea to discuss problems of Muslims
Mufti of Poland Tomasz Mickiewicz made a visit of friendship to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea, QHA news agency reports.
During the visit, Tomasz Mickiewicz met with the Mufti of Crimea Haji Emirali Ablayev. They discussed the issues concerning the status of Muslims living on the peninsula.
According to the Mufti of Poland, it was his first visit to the Crimea, as now there is a need to address the social and religious problems of the Crimean Tatars.
“I came to my brothers and sisters, the Crimean Tatars. I would like to hear from them, what their present conditions are and how we can work over religious and social problems of the Crimean Tatars,” he said.
According to the publication, Mickiewicz spoke with the wife of Crimean Tatars leader Mustafa Dzhemilev, head of the League of Crimean Tatar women Safinar Dzhemileva.
The Mufti of Poland said that he expected to have a series of meetings, including a meeting with Chairman of the Majlis of Crimean Tatars Refat Chubarov.
