President instructs the Cabinet to develop national human rights policies

President of Ukraine Poroshenko instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure the development of the National Strategy in the field of human rights by January 1, 2015. This is stated in Decree No. 811/2014, posted on the website of the President.

“In order to improve the legal and institutional framework for human rights, to implement an effective mechanism for comprehensive support of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in Ukraine, I decree: the Government of Ukraine shall ensure the development of the National strategy on human rights and submit it for consideration in due course, involving representatives of state and local governments, institutions civil society, leading national and international scholars and experts, drawing on international experience by January 1, 2015”, the document goes.

The decree takes effect from the date of publication, the UNIAN-Religion reports.
