Pro-Russian mercenaries seize Protestant church in Luhansk region
Mercenaries of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic (which the Ukrainian court names a terrorist organization) on September 8 occupied the building of the Church in Anthracite (Luhansk region). Armed men with two priests of the Orthodox Church entered the meeting house and demanded that all leave the church.
Pastors organized a bomb shelter and charity kitchen in the basement of the House of Prayer for All Peoples. People with disabilities were also taken care of in the church.
As previously reported, in June, armed men broke into the house owned by Buddhist community in the village Pankivka in the Luhansk region and ordered everyone to leave the building. In July, Luhansk terrorists closed the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Mary. At the same time, the Donetsk People’s Republic terrorists captured the monastery of the Sister Servants Ukrainian Catholic Church in Donetsk and shelled the cathedral of the UGCC in Donetsk.
