Religious Organizations of Kyiv to Pay for Public Utilities According to Tariffs Fixed for Population

KYIV – The Kyiv City Council obligated its executive body, the Kyiv City State Administration, to establish tariffs for religious organizations for heat energy and central heating, hot water supply, and central water supply and drainage equal to the tariffs for the general population, reports the Institute of Religious Freedom. 

The passed decision was initiated by deputies of the Yulia Tymoshenko’s Motherland faction due to numerous addresses of religious organizations of Kyiv.
 
The head of the faction in the Kyiv City Hall, Tetiana Melikhova, stressed that the newly passed decision is in accordance with the recently passed Resolution 182 of February 24, 2010, of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in this regard, of which RISU reported earlier.
